May Favorites

So... What have I been loving this month?

Let's start with my favorite mascara of the month. I go through mascara like it's nobody's business. I have a new favorite every other weekend. But this month I have been obssessing over my Lancome HYPNOSE WATERPROOF - Custom Volume Mascara in Black.

Now let's talk about nails! My favorite polishes at the moment are Essie Clambake, which is such a pretty summer color and i loooove it!

I have also been loving my Jinsoon nail polish in Tea Rose
This is a muted coral shade which I love wearing on my toes!

Next up is a bronzer that I have been using non stop: Urban Decay Baked Bronzer
This gives me the perfect glow to my skin and has so many different uses.

Now onto lips since I've been wearing a lot of color on them lately. My favorite is the Loreal Paris Colour Caresse Shine Stain in Berry Persistant. Stains are soo perfect for the summer and I love this one!

Now onto my favorite foundation. I was wearing an Urban Decay tinted mouisturizer the last week of May, but overall in May, my face was wearing Yves Saint Laurent - Teint Touche Eclat Foundation

I looooove this! It applies beautifully and leaves skin looking flawless. Will definetly repurchase.

Another thing I've been using on my face is the Kate Somerville Somerville 360° Face Self Tanning Pads. My body gets tan, but since I apply loads of sunscreen on my face- I need to get my face tan somehow. These are a little pricy, but worth it!
They are individually packaged self tanning pads for your face. They are great at subtly bronzing your skin. The pads exfoliate while they are bronzing. It also comes with a mitt for smooth application and you won't get any on your hands.

So these are my favorites of the month!

Honorable mention: Nars Copacabana Illuminator, Goody heat wave creater, and Weleda Skin food.

What are your favorites this month? Have you tried out any products I'm loving? Let me know below!

Who Designed the Rose Ceremony Dress for The Bachelorette's Desiree Hartsock?

Bachelorette, Desiree, Hartsock, will wear between 65 and 90 outfits during her run on this cycle of the show but in a fun new twist, it turns out she is the first star of the show to also have a hand in designing her own clothes, including a rose ceremony gown.
Do you love the dress? And what do you think of the men? Let me know below!

OMG Dresses From Cannes

The cannes is probably one of the most fun red carpets to look at because it's the one that celebs have some fun with! (Grammys too!) So today I want to appreciate these extravagant gowns for what they are.

I have no idea who this woman is. It just says "Guest", but I will call her the "Sunflower Queen".

Two more guests whos dresses are probably made from recycled material.. Love

"Alien Head" rolled in with the two above!

Laetitia Casta showed up to closing ceremonies in this number!

What do you think? Amazing or amazingly crazy?

Milly for Banana Republic

Milly is collaborating with Banana Republic on a special 60-piece capsule collection of men's and women's clothing ranging from $25 to $175.

Zoe Saldana was caught wearing this dress in New York City (I ACTUALLY SAW HER) while running errands. This dress will retail for $150.

Olivia Palermo was spotted in the City rocking these navy and white elephant print shorts. These will retail for $55.

Attractive Bridesmaid Dresses

I was in a wedding over the weekend and let me just tell you... The bridesmaid dress was far from lovely. In fact, it looked much like a shower curtain. I will spare your eyes and leave you without a haunting picture.

I was inspired to show you pretty bridesmaid dresses so that when you have your wedding, your dear friends will not hate you when it's over.

Here are my favorites:

How to Make the Metallic Skirt Trend Work for You

There were a lot of metallic skirts on the Spring 2013 runway and now they are all over the streets of New York City as well.

FASHION!

Reed Krakoff Spring 2013

Don't be afraid, these skirts are actually totally chic!

Yes, I know metallic can be scary.. It's so shiny!

They have an alien effect to them which makes them awesome.

They are not for the weak at heart, so take a risk and try to pull one off!

Added bonus, they go with basically everything!

Just make sure when styling one to keep it simple. Less is more in this case.

1) A crisp white tee
This is such a beautiful combo, it's all white except for her vocal point: the metallic skirt.

2)With gray
Perfect for work! I love how she coordinated the shoes with her bag.

Which do you prefer? Will you try this trend? Let me know below!

Self Tanner Catastrophies

I consider myself to have pale skin.
I, like many others, believe that being tan is a beautiful thing.
I won't lie to you I have used a tanning bed on occasion, but over the past few years I have used several different tanners.

In this post I will not go into detail about what self tanners are the most amazing or which ones I truly dreaded.

In today's I will be talking about the things that can go wrong.

Because I was in a wedding Friday afternoon in San Fransciso, I had gotten a spray tan that morning. As all the bridesmaids were finishing their mascara, we began to talk about self tan.

As we compared annoying problems we had experienced, one of the girls complained about something I have never experienced. She says the color appears everywhere on her body except for her legs! They just don't seem to want to get bronzed.

Have any of you experienced this issue? What problems have you faced when using self tanner? Let me know in the comments below!
